Concept Machinery is a certified distributor of Mazak machine tools that has been serving metalworking shops in Kansas and Western Missouri with total manufacturing solutions for more than 25 years. Previously known as Concept Technical Sales, the Overland Park, Kansas-based company was acquired by Shelton Machinery in October, 2015.

Through the acquisition, Concept Machinery continues to provide customers with access to the same advanced Mazak equipment, with the bonus of even more service, support and training. Shelton Machinery, with its long history of providing customers with the most advanced technology and unparalleled support, plans to add new applications engineers and service technicians to the area for improved response times. Paul Domurat, former president of Concept Technical Sales, will remain a staple at the location, serving as sales manager.

Shelton Machinery, with headquarters in Fishers, Indiana, a Northeast suburb of Indianapolis, is a certified Mazak machine tool distributor owned by Nick Shelton and Jeff Tucker. The company has been serving metalworking shops in Indiana and Kentucky with total manufacturing solutions since 1988.

At the company’s 18,000-square-foot facility in Fishers, Shelton Machinery offers customers hands-on experience operating the latest in manufacturing technology, along with part demonstrations and training through the Shelton Learning Center. In-house resources also provide customers with accurate times studies for all application types as well as complete turnkey requirements. Furthermore, the company offers free monthly seminars designed to help customers improve their business practices and profitability.
